Coco peat, also known as coir pith, coir fibre pith, or simply coir dust is made from coconut husks. Coir fibre and Coco peat are separated, washed, dried, screened, heat sterilised at a temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 min before being processed into coco peat products of various granularity and denseness, which are then used for horticultural, agricultural applications and as an industrial absorbent.
